YOUTH WRESTLING 101
Youth Wrestling is a dynamic sport involving two opponents who use skill, strength, and quickness to bring their opponent under control and then pin him to the mat. Wrestlers must learn both offensive and defensive moves to be consistently successful. Each wrestler must be alert to decide which skills to use during the three period matches.
The following is a breakdown of information regarding Youth Wrestling. This is a wealth of information for new parents just starting out, as well as for the kids. This information was given out at the Moon Area First Year Wrestling Tournament on December 21, 2002. Many thanks to Moon Youth Wrestling Association for enlightening us first-year parents.
